Lovely, I had one of those when I was 21 and I loooved the sound!
Also the boomerang rear lights are much much nicer than the bigger lamps fitted on the 4200GT...
Mine didn't miss a beat despite being always driven hard (with warm up and cool down of course) but the one thing I couldn't get to work was the fricking clock in the middle dash!!

It's fairing the winter well... it's a bit too unpredictable power wise for greasy roads, the ASR plays havoc and gets exercised lots, but I could drive it all the time if I could afford the fuel... and it can be less the 10mpg if driven how it likes to be ;o) hope to get to some PH meets when the weather picks up...

I've had three of these (1999, 2002, and a 2001 Assetto Corsa) - lovely cars. One has just appeared on my street, so I get all nostalgic whenever I walk past it! I hope you've bought a manual and not an auto? I had one auto and it wasnt a patch on the manual - changed it from being a sports car...performance and drievr involvement noticeably worse in the auto. However, whichever you've got, they're a lovely car and something special to own.
I'm only 20, but, that for me is such a special car, and one which judging by current prices really is the attainable dream car. Sat in one a few years ago, and the sound is brilliant, very nice place to sit too.
Please give us some story background and how you came to own it, it's a gorgeous car and would love to know more about it/see it at PH meets this year.

Yes, the sound is awesome, loving it, and people hear you coming from a street or two away.
I've got the auto which in fact is reckoned to be the better car against the auto... and I've only got one leg so it's easier ;o)
I've got it as it's ALOT of car for the money, real supercar for Mondeo money, best thing I ever did...

Ha, well that depends on whether you ask someone with a manual or someone with an auto - there are more with the latter. You need someone that's owned both to get a truly objective answer 
. Autos supposedly easier to drive and less chance of endfloat issues, but they're slower and less engaging. Down to personal preference but I also found the matching of an auto box to aggressive twin turbos quite disconcerting when overtaking....you had to wait for kickdown and then hang on! Anyway, you have a better excuse than most for an auto
, and as I said - either is a lovely car.Johnney... the guy who re-enforced this view about the auto was the expert I use to maintain my car, he is passionate about 3200 Maseratis and the last time I went to see him he had 7 he was doing work on for people... he's the Maserati guru in my area, so not a bad judge possibly, but he's not the only one I've heard say it.
Anyway, it's not big deal to me one way or the other as I can't drive the manual... I've got used to the turbos now, and the kick down...
