Oops. I appear to have purchased a V70 T5

Afternoon all,
I would love to start a thread about some piece of rare exotica unfortunately I'm going to have to lumber you with a thread about my relatively boring latest acquisition!
I currently own an Abarth Grande Punto and co-own a Mk2 Mr2 with a mate as a project car. I love both cars to pieces but due to my band doing pretty well at the moment I had a need for a car that could take 5 people and a reasonable amount of gear wherever we need to go. Cue the search for an estate!
I've always had a little bit of a soft spot for big Volvo estates so that was my primary group of cars that I had in mind, although I was considering a Mondeo estate and the BMW 5 series touring. This came up for sale on wednesday this week, and by Thursday afternoon I had paid a small deposit with plans to collect today provided everything was in order. It was and its now safely home in Essex! Some pictures:
I really am pretty chuffed with it and although not quite shed money, I didn't think £1650 for a 108k mile, Volvo V70 2.3T T5 which passed its MOT 4 days ago and has 12 months tax is that bad at all!
Good stuff:
It's properly massive, easily going to be able to cart around a decent amount of gear with it. Plus if we need more space then roofbox/trailer can be purchased
The engine is lovely. Really addictive 5 pot noise and it pulls like a train.
Car is much quicker in a straight line than what I thought it was going to be, I did a couple of full throttle overtakes on the way home and grinned like a Cheshire cat.
Its very comfortable and there's lots of toys which is a nice plus.
For a car that's only a couple of years older than our bass player, its in pretty good nick! 4 decent Pirelli tyres too, last owner for the last 12 years.
£300 insurance for the year!
Bad stuff:
Its a slushbox - can't win them all. Seems to be reasonably smooth though so that's a plus!
Its silver - again, can't win them all
It is quite thirsty but I knew it would be. 32mpg on the motorway is not the worst though and its mainly going to be doing long journeys so I can live with it. I'll have my bandmates chipping in towards petrol so small mercy's and all that!
I've not really got any plans for it at the moment bar potentially having to get a roofbox/tow bar but I'll be giving it a good service as soon as I can find the time.

Looks well. The prices of these and 850's seems to be creeping up now... or at least for tidy examples. Gone are the days when £500 would buy something like this to abuse as a winter car. I've had a few, now onto a Phase 2 but the Phase 1 is infinitely better.
On a side note, I have a dark grey retractable load cover here for sale if you're missing yours?
