P38 RR Vogue SE
Discussion
I've always wanted a P38. I know they're unreliable, slow, not much fun to drive and uneconomical but there is just something about them I love. I always regretted selling my classic, especially seeing the prices they fetch these days.
On one of my regular trawls through the classified I came across a P38 that stood out.
It's a 2002 4.6 Vogue SE. Seems very well looked after and the body work is perfect, not a single car park ding, which on any car these days is amazing.

It's mostly for the dog (or that's how I sold it to the wife). Few things I want to do.
Get a full rear dog protector to keep it in its current pristine state.
The foam surrounds on the rear subs have deteriorated with age, so I'll get an audio shop to refurb these for me.
Apart from that, everything works, even the heated seats.
I'm now waiting for an excuse to pop to V8 developments and have a 5.2 upgrade done.

They do look good and ive been tempted before too but every time I am everyone talks me out of it. Will be interested to know how it performs reliability wise.
I had a V8 for a year or so. It proved surprisingly reliable but always needed little jobs doing to it. Buying one is a gamble as even mint FSH examples can give no end of trouble. It really is luck of the draw with them to be honest but lovely cars when they are running right

I didn't know these had sub woofers, where are they?
On the left hand side of the boot. Helpfully right on top of the CD changer.Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
