I know you must all be bored to death with all the mx5's but...

After a short spell with this standard 1.8iS around 2 years ago I had to sell it due to a silly daily commute and it was replaced but a boring A3 TDI.. Pitty as it was really tidy

However I now work 2 miles away from home, so the Audi has gone and yes.... Another MX5 to replace it!! I picked this up for £1200. It's another 1.8 S with the LSD and nice Nardi steering wheel with good sills and chassis legs (these have been repaired to a high standard) and 74k on the clock

it's going to be used as a weekend car and to learn car track driving, I've done around 30 bike trackdays but fancy trying something new!

So Snetterton on a wet January day with the temperature only a few degrees, standard form and Hero rear tyres!!.. Made it a interesting day!

After this I've slowly started making the car more track focussed, and how it currently sits

With a hardtop, HSD monopro Coilovers, Axxis ULT pads and a large alloy radiator

Future plans, bucket seats, rollbar and basic turbo set up with a 200rwhp goal

Will update as this progresses

hehe

I have some hilarious memories of trackdays in my Mk1 with kingstars on the back, great fun.

Nice looking car, I do like the Mk2s smile
