Subaru Impreza STI (Type UK) Prodrive Performance Pack
Discussion
Hello everyone,
Its been a while since I have been able to post about a new toy so if I get excited please excuse me. I acquired the car about four weeks ago from my father in law who has owned it since 2007, its only done 38,000 miles and is one of few STi's with the Prodrive Performance Pack added by the dealer. The pack boasts a number of enhancements which lead to an increase in bhp from the stock STI at 265 to 305bhp and a similar torque figure.
Info on the 2.0Turbo STI PPP is non conclusive but I gather Prodrive fitted a De-cat section to the exhaust, fitted an uprated fuel pump, remapped the ECU, fitted better pads with more appropriate compounds and tweaked the suspension. My car also has the widetrack rear suspension with the spats over the arches.
Pictures often speak louder then words, I hope you like it.

Looks great, very rare. Nice to see it standard, the only thing I'd do would be the headlight detango mod, works wonders on blobeyes
Will look into this although I would like to keep the car completely standard, although this sounds like it could be seen as an improvement I guess

Cheers for the kind comments guys
AWG - I don't think the prodrive pack changed the springs but focused on geometry and ARB tweeks. The ride height is as it came out of the factory I believe - it's nice to be able to go over speed bumps at normal speeds.
Mine was running TEIN coilovers as the previous owner said the standard suspension broke three times and he got annoyed with it in the end, apparently a common problem with these cars. I wonder if you've got away with it on yours?

As a owner of a temperamental Alfa I know too well not to say much I wonder if you've got away with it on yours?

The car feels tight and well planted and I think it's been well treated, I took it out this morning and the performance always puts a grin on my face !

vs

TX.
I can see the benefit of removing the 'Tango' from the lights as it will certainly look better but I think I will keep it standard for the time being.
One upgrade I certainly need to do is front pad replacement as I have never experienced brake fade like I did yesterday! I since found at that my father in law admitted to non oem (or better) pads being put in last year!
Any recommendations?
