As part of my ongoing desire to cut my outgoings as much as possible, I sold my previous 2001 Mondeo Snotter as it was due its MOT so I cut my losses with that and ran the M3 daily until a suitable replacement was found.

Here it is, a 2008 Vectra 1.8 SRi in Pommegranate Red, it's an ex mini cab, but has only done 100k and has for the most part been looked after quite well, it has a few battle scars, airbag light is on and needs a new aux belt fitted, gearbox us a touch noisy in 5th but I'm not too concerned as I don't go far in it, other than that its a perfect pub/work/station car

All in all its not a bad buy at £500, taxed and tested until August.

Not a bad price for an 08, 5er says the mileage isn't genuine though!

At £500 it's either clocked, still on finance, stolen recovered or catC - or possibly all of the above at that price.
Good luck sorting that out when you find out the real story.

Mileage is genuine, its an ex mobility car from new, bought by a friend at 29k and used as his taxi until three weeks ago.

I'm not too hot with my Porsche knowledge, but according to someone better informed than myself its part of some optional aero kit

Definitely something fishier than a barrel full of lesbians about this.

the alloys/tyres alone are probably worth about £250-300 on eBay

Well CAP Clean is almost £2k so on the surface it looks like a total steal, but obviously it isn't going to get a new MoT until the airbag light is fixed and who knows what the problem is there.

It'll still break for more than £500 though

Nothing fishy about it, bought from a friend, with some minor faults.

Airbag light is drivers "squib" which I believe is the steering wheel slip ring

I'm not a vauxhall fan but it's actually a decent enough car, for the money I can't complain.

Theres your problem...

Slip ring is the CIM module. Not a cheap part! They range from £150 + coding to the princely sum of £500 + coding...

In that case, bugger off you are a jammy git.

(mates rates arent usually allowed though wink )
Yes, the noisy top gear will probably be due to the owner/driver driving everywhere in fifth, rather than high mileage...
