Daily driver - Goodbye Jaguar XJR. Hello Jaguar S-Type.....
Discussion
We move to Australia in several months but have sold our UK property much quicker than we thought.
As a result we will be living somewhere for a few months that (i don't believe) would leave my XJR in good shape - No off road parking, not the best neighbourhood, tree lined streets (lots of sap and bird s@#t), zozens of women trying to fit their people carriers in to car parking spaces that are not big enough for them (there is a school next door) etc, etc.....
As a result i decided to advertise my Jaguar XJR and buy something that i wont be anywhere near as precious about.... A very 'pipe and slippers' Jaguar S-Type 3.0litre....
I took a final few pictures of the XJR the other evening..... Before the the buyer collected.

And here is the much duller S-Type....

I used to run an S-Type 4.0 V8. I think the V6 is the smarter choice of engine - just as smooth and still enough power. Nice choice of daily driver if economy isn't a top priority!
I had a lot of bother with the coil packs on the V8 and sold it on after a couple of months of ownership. Your pictures bring back lots of memories - some good some bad!
Enjoy it.
