In the end we managed 640 flywheel horsepower at 16psi boost on the ESS supercharger kit but the hunt has begun for more power, so the charger is coming off and we are going the turbo route with the hope to get near the 900 mark.
Engine spec is being revised roughly as follows:
S54 3.2 block
Standard M3 head with Iconel exhaust valves and uprated valve springs and lifters
JE forged pistons running 9:5:1 compression
Knife edged crank
Motorsport bearings
Carillo rods
ARP bolts everywhere
GT40X Twinscroll turbo
Tubular s/s exhaust manifold
HKS Blow-off
External wastegate with screamer pipe through the front bumper
Motec M130 ECU with switchable maps, wideband lambda, anti-lag, knock control, etc
Radium Engineering fuel rail
AEM water/meth injection
Forge intercooler
HPF cast inlet manifold
Motorsport aluminium radiator
Twin oil coolers
Motorsport oil pump
Surface discharge plugs
Rear mounted motorport tank with swirl pot and twin bosch pumps
-8 fuel lines, fuel reg, etc
All being well we should see around 900hp at 1.2 bar.
Car is fully stripped now and weighs in around 1300kg with fuel. Hoping to get that nearer 1200kg by getting happy with the grinder.
Should be rather lively... Just need to consider if I'm putting any form of traction control or ABS back on!!
Things always take longer than you hope, but all being well the car will done in around 6 weeks time. Will keep thread updated with pics and problems along the way - hope you enjoy!

Yes that was me at Spa a couple of weeks back - what a cracking day, and unusual to get a whole day of sunshine!
Horsepower Freaks in the states went bust last year, so are no more. Also their twin turbo setup was great for power delivery but at the sacrifice of high end power.
I'm not buying a GTR because they are ten a penny at trackdays and even with it's current setup I've only not been able to catch and pass one GTR in over 20 track days and it was well peddled and reported to have 750+. Also I've got a GT3 RS and 458 Italia which are unbelievably soft and slow compared with the M3, and guess a GTR would end up in the same category :-)
ECU wise we are going to run the new Motec M1 series which takes over from the old M800 system. With this we will have full-throttle flat shifts enabled with the sequential box, so lag will not be noticeable between shifts and anti-lag to ensure I've got plenty boost off the line.
I'm pretty excited to say the least. Crazy it will be.
