hello all,

i made a thread a while back about my Mk2 fiesta so i thought i'd make a new one for my new purchase.

I've went and bought myself a Zetec S TDCI

Its a nice motor, 98k, clean as a whistle, totally bog standard and surprisingly nippy and economical. I don't really know what to do with it, i'm not a huge believer in modifying cars such as this so it'll stay fairly standard with the possibility of a mountune map later on. I've done the timing belt, EGR blank and cleaned out the intake manifold which was restricted with carbon buildup, common problem on these.

any suggestions and comments would be appreciated smile

That's nice mate, the only thing I'd do which you've considered is a map. Maybe a slight lowering, but I can't talk, I was too scared to lower my ST when it came to the crunch!

cheers smile

i was considering lowering it but i don't want to spoil the comfort at all, i think maybe the rear hub spacers will sort out the 'stance' a bit. I went to a local exhaust makers the other day and got a quote for a decat pipe which i will probably go ahead and get made soon, its over £100 cheaper than the pumaspeed decat pipe!

I love these, my mum had one for years in red. I used to enjoy borrowing the keys and going for a blast through the country lanes driving Probably one of the best balances of performance and economy you can get. I've nearly bought one so many times and you've got the best colour there. Enjoy mate thumbup
