Hello - been meaning to sign up on here for a while and now I've finally got around to it haha - this is now my 4th DC5 - and yes they have all been white!

My last one had a few tasty mods and was K-Pro'd made 247BHP

I've had a few cars in between my DC5's including: a R33 GT-R, DC2, JDM EP3, UK EP3, WRX STI and an E46 M3. Here's a few photos I can find of some of them if anyone is interested.

Anyway! Haven't got a massive amount of photographs of the new car - just a few from Portrush with Todd and Nickyyy off here.

At the minute it is fairly standard and has:

-Mugen Strut Brace
-Gruppe-M Induction Kit
-Skunk 2 Lowering Springs
-Js Racing Cat Back
-4 X Goodyear Eagle F1 V2s

Future plans: Going to try and keep it just! Cleanest one I've ever had and to be honest cleanest I've ever set eyes on so would regret selling it. Plus I've just bought my first house so I can't afford to mess around and change cars anymore haha!

Just got the wheels refurbished as you can see on my picture on the driveway it needs some fresh Honda badges in the middle, which I've ordered and will fit soon.

Got my WKZ12 plate on now - of course!

Very nice! I'll probably make the switch to one of these when I get bored of the DC2 and fancy something a bit more comfortable!

All the cars look exceptionally clean smile

Thanks!! Yeah every car was immaculate apart from the DC2 which was a Cat D but I only had it two weeks and I bought it for £1900 and sold it for £2500 so was some fun cheap motoring for a while and got out of it with a nice return.

I would like a JAP DC2 98 Spec but the problem is a really mint one would probably cost more than my DC5 stands me and I think the DC5 whilst not as fun is a much nicer looking and more capable car.

Thanks guys!

Yes, I thought I might as well do it when I could. Happy now and have no regrets.

My daily driver is a 2014 Leon FR 184 Diesel, but I won't put pictures of a car with the devils fuel here haha!

Also, I think I have pictures of each one of my 4 DC5s which but I'll leave posting that geeky boring stuff to the Integra forums lol!

Small update, my other half has bought me a Skunk 2 weighted gear knob for my birthday which I wanted because it was closest to OEM and will tidy up the inside nicely.

Major OCD when it comes to them. In-fact my other half recently pointed out that in both photos above (taken by "JON44" where the cars were parked at the side of the road for the meet) I am cleaning the car haha!

To be honest it's the only car out of them all that I actually regret selling!

I took a silly notion one day because it was Black (I absolutely hate Black cars - OCD) that I didn't want it anymore. Still kicking myself to this day.

How have you found the skunk2 springs? I've looked at these for my S2000 but they seem to get slated by anyone whose tried them.

I've had no issues at all? May be different in the S2000. Any DC5 owner I've met has commented on the nice height it sits at.

Eibach are supposed to be good, but my friend has them at hates the fact it sits with slight reverse rake.

Lovely DC5, you seem to have owned every car I spend time browsing the classifieds for. How do they all compare? I love the look of a DC5 but have always thought that the drop in power would be too much for me. Any chance of a very quick summary of your thoughts on each car.

No problems!

1. E46 M3 - Lovely big car for long distances and had the power when you needed it -my brother now owns and it he loves it will probably never sell it. Was a fun car I'd always wanted one but it just didn't 'feel' rapid - my K'Pro'd DC5 would sit side by side with one and felt a lot more fun whilst doing so. The M3 was great for sending sideways, though!

2. R33 GT-R - This made the M3 feel like a 1.6 Focus. As I've mentioned before the only car I regret selling. To have that much power in a car that was made in 1995 which felt so 'unrefined' meant that when you opened it up it gave you a kick up the arse like nothing else. Got lots of attention when driving it and at shows etc. If you get a chance, buy one! Although they have shot up in price by at leas 30-40% in the last few years.

2.DC2 - Fun little car! Cheap motoring and the best fun you can have below £2000 IMO.

3. JDM EP3 - To be honest I only bought this because I wanted a DC5 and there were none for sale at the time. However, this pleasently surprised me - the LSD makes a massive difference to these and I splashed out on a Gruppe-M induction and Spoon Sports exhaust which made it loud, a touch haha! Great handling little car though and really rare! There are lots of JDM replicas out there but very few of the real cars actually around.

4. UK EP3 - Again, I bought this a cheap runaround and enjoyed it for a while but it wasn't a great handling car once you've driven both the cars back to back you'll understand the difference.

5. WRX STI - 305BHP as it had the PPP installed. The car was absolutely in mint condition and I enjoyed cleaning it more than driving it to be honest. It wasn't very involving and to be honest not as quick as on paper would suggest.

6. DC5 - The best until last. I've loved every one I've owned. I know almost every one in Northern Ireland (I'm quite sad that way - haha) and I've not got the best condition Pre-Facelift one over here. For a 2001 car I think they have aged really well. They are quite rare as well, turns a lot of heads. A lot of people who aren't in to cars stop and ask what it is. I know you mentioned a drop in power but to be honest they are so light that the power to weight ratio when you have a few bolt on mods puts it up there with some really quick stuff. They weigh 1170KG (as a comparison an M3 is over 1500KG!). I got my car almost fully stock they do need an induction kit, at least, in my opinion. Gruppe-M's are the best, pricey but worth it. Things to avoid are any sort of cosmetic modifications or changes. These things are best left standard looking on the outside and all the money spent underneath the engine or suspension etc.

Just going through some of the history for my car in more detail - it was imported in 2008 to Ireland it then had a few owners here in Northern Ireland (I've got all the forum posts etc saved and old pictures - going to get it all printed out at some stage and keep it all in a file to go with the car) it was Registered new in Japan in December 2001. I've even found out a few cool pieces of information like the Number Plate that the car had when it was in Japan. It also comes with the original handbooks (all in Japanese of course!) I've just submitted a request for a BIMTA certificate just to go with the car as another piece of History. The car is still in Kilometres and limited to 112MPH as all Japanese cars are. I'm in two minds whether or not to get this changed as on the one hand I would like the limiter removed but on the other I like the fact it's been like that from new. If I do decide to do it I'll fully document it so that unlike other DC5s you see advertised with "about 65k mixture of miles and KM etc" I'll be able to give the exact reading to the mile. Again, probably me being a bit over the top but I prefer to do things 100% right - or not at all.
