Thought it was time I did a thread on this….

Always been an m fan, had every m3 right back to the e30 (probably my favourite so far) but had always resisted the e92 due to the epic depreciation from new. Saw this one for sale a few months back and couldn't resist, '10 reg monte carlo, 17k, dct/sound upgrade etc and got them to fire in 2 new back tyres and a inspection 1 service.

How does it drive? Very well. The difference between an m3 and a lot of other performance cars comes in the last 2/10ths where it really hunkers down and goes. A test drive will certainly not blow you away. There's cars that handle better, and there's faster cars but the m3 is a superb all rounder and take a while to really get under your skin.

So far I've averaged 21mpg, but won't be driving it much, the 740 volvo gets 95% of journeys. Had a mini gp before and over the guts of a year it did 1800 miles.

No major mods….remus exhaust on which amplifies the v8 nicely, and of course the 316 badge….won't be to everyones taste and won't fool anyone but it's a long running joke of mis badging cars between my mates and doesn't harm anyone so it stays for the minute. I'd love the m performance seats but they're so feckin expensive.

Few wee pics….and 2 my old e30 for good measure (would have one in a heartbeat again over any modern one but the prices are going crazy)

Both lovely, mad that the e30 is probably worth more than the e92

Love the Monte Carlo, and the misbadging, I get it very funny.
Don't know much about the E30 m3 tbh.

Can't remember the last time I saw an E30 M3 on the road! That's really nice smile

Don't talk to me. Too high. Had taken hold when I realised.

No Monte Carlo cars came with seats like that.

I love E92's ... especially in the rarer colours like monte carlo! e30's are just so special
