205 gti6 track car
Discussion
Bought late at night on eBay after a few beers, always wanted one but 20years ago couldn't insure one and bought ac309 instead. started out as a standard 1.9 with a few tweaks - avo shocks, spam rears.
So cheap track fun. Drive it on track all day and park it up with no repairs required until next track day
Now gti6 engine, caged, plastic windows and gaz coil overs.

There's a lot written about the heavier gti6 lump upsettling the handling, did you notice this at all? Or was lots of things changed the same time as the engine?
Did Abingdon on standard engine. Then with gti6 and cage and new box with a zf diff an fit was just quicker. No handling issues. Then fitted the gaz coil overs before Caldwell. So not that I noticed. Tends to lock the rears on brakes in the wet. Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
