The N plates had stiffer springs then the MY96 P plates as Ford went all out to improve public perception of the model

Doesn't look too rusty from that angle either!

Well it did have 4 hub caps, managed to lose one on the first journey. Replacing it would be against shed philosophy.

Yes it's remarkably almost rust free, with just a small patch on one of the rear wheel arches.

Well the time has come for the fester to take its final journey to the scrappy. Apart from cutting out randomly at junctions and the exhaust hangers breaking its been a tough little run around. Bloody uncomfortable though. Replacement due to arrive on the 4th March.

My first car was one of these on a V plate. Purple. Great car that, took a hammering!! Ended up getting £80 scrap for it

I remember hiring a Fiesta of that shape, driver's seat gave me backache in about 10 miles

I drove a 1.25LX once. Terrific revvy little engine that got up to 90 on the motorway before I'd even realised it. Handling couldn't match a Ka, though.
