I went through a few different cars once I passed my test, first being a Mk4 Fiesta 1.25 which smoked out the garage on it's MOT. 'Borrowed' a Renault Scenic and a Polo from my Dad. Fortunately I never got any pictures of these cars.

My next proper purchase was a VW Golf mk5 1.9tdi that I vastly overpaid for in early 2013. It had 78k, was silver and pretty boring! At this point in my life I wanted nothing more than to be a scene queen, so after about 2 weeks of ownership some coilovers and shiny replica wheels were on order. At this point the car was looking like this -

After a gti bumper, side skirts, a questionable double din from china and a year of chronic back pain (joms...) I decided to sell on as it was time for something fast! I took the VW out for one last photo shoot. I know it wasn't anything special but part of me sometimes misses it for some reason...

After nearly buying a very high mileage Civic Type R EP3 but being thankfully talked out of it I decided something newish and quickish and turboish was in order. So after reading nothing but rave reviews I decided it was time to buy a Ford.

I sourced this Race Red ST-2 Fiesta that I just managed to squeeze my budget to and I've been smiling like an idiot since. It was specced exactly the way I wanted (Sony stereo and style pack) and it's so quick!

After some B road blasts alongside a mate with a camera I knew I'd made the right choice.

All I can say now is that I'm looking forward to winter being over as I finally want to get on the track. I promised myself I wouldn't go down the mods route however a mountune is probably going to happen, as is a splitter and maybe some team dynamics wheels... Not at the moment though, I'm very skint.

Nice, love these little cars - like you say, nobody seems to have a bad word to say about them.

Interesting what you said about your budget though - a high mileage EP3 must've been around the £2k mark, I can't imagine an ST2 Fez was anywhere near that?! I sense some PH man-maths at work here!

Ahhhh yeah that does look a bit strange in hindsight. I admit I did have to have a bit of help from the man at the bank for the Fiesta.

Great cars, my mate has a Blue ST-2 with the MP215 kit which has transformed the car. They're great fun on the B roads.

Couldn't agree more. Unfortunately due to the weather I've only had one decent go at some B roads.

Nice. Welcome to the club. I love mine. Had it 6 weeks and I've covered over 1000 miles already. I keep taking the long way home. smile

Would like to have a drive of one of these.

I've got a soft spot for Fiestas...my first car was a perfect XR2i replica and my second a MK5 Zetec-S.

Loving my ST-2, purchased new in March. Just about to change over to winter wheels/tyres again.
