Didn't want to appear to be showing off, just assumed everyone on pistonheads was into their cars so would like to see photos of it alongside other cars. They aren't the quickest I'll give you that but as a first car I'm sure it will do me fine, as I wouldn't be able to afford anything quicker because of crazy insurance rates

I apologise to you, my post was horrible and uncalled for!
Being perfectly frank, i think it does look pretty good, please be careful in it, and watch it anywhere you intend to overtake, and never try and accelerate into the third lane on a motorway in top, you will need to drop down to 3rd and rev it.
Most people on here absolutely despise the Corsa but because it's your first car (or rather, because you've bought it and shown it in Readers Cars) they'll turn about face and probably be nice about it (or rather just not comment at all).
Similarly it's white with black wheels which is another negative on PH (I'm personally not a fan of black wheels either but it's all personal choice).
I had a pre-facelift 1.2 for 4 years. Dreadfully slow yes but if you rev the nuts off it you can easily overtake and go where you need to go. They're fine little cars for the majority of folk, reasonably comfortable (drove many, many miles in mine), they work in all weathers and having an aux input so you can plug in your iPod is the best thing to all young people everywhere.
Enjoy it, your first car is always special, regardless of whether it's something brand new like this or a 40p stbox that's one more rusthole away from completely falling apart.
One more thing. I say you need to rev the nuts off it to get anywhere but in reality don't do that, just drive sensibly (as hard as it is not to speed everywhere) and you'll be fine. As it happens I got bored one night and went flying down some country roads in mine and ended up flying through a hedge at 70+. The car was a writeoff but aside from bumping my head on the roof, I was completely fine. They're solid things nowadays these modern superminis.

Congrats on your first car. Enjoy it and for heaven's sake don't crash it - a few years of sensible driving will make all the difference when you want to buy something quick.

Utter bks frankly - any modern car can keep up with the day to day traffic, and anyone who can't adjust their driving for the performance available to them in a modern car should not be allowed to drive. If course it isn't going to be setting any land speed records, but try driving a fully loaded 3.5t van with 90bhp and then tell me a Corsa is slow.

I have one of these! 1.0 V reg with questionable service history. 50bhp when new. Probably far less now. I have to plan overtaking trucks ffs!It will do 70... Eventually.. On a motorway.. Downhill.. Whilst being pushed along by a lorry :😁
It's a little rusty, silver, scraped hubcaps and I still love it. Don't worry about damaging it at all so it's blissful motoring.
Bought it for a song and plan to run it till it pops then get a much nicer motor

I drive a 400bhp Jag but love driving my OHs Citroën C2, 340bhp less but never feels remotely 'dangerously slow'- anticipation, planning and maintaining momentum can be good fun, enjoyment does not always have to be linked to high speeds

? Don't let anyone tell you it's not a great first car, it is and I bet far nicer than what most on here would have had, certainly nicer than mine!

Sometimes you can't win on PH, if you bought the VXR version everyone would be saying you were an idiot and you'll crash it and die within minutes. Because you've got a 1.2, of course it's 'dangerously slow' and the wrong thing to buy. Absolute nonsense, the 1.2 is perfectly adequate as a first car. I've driven far slower vehicles and I've not died once yet.
