My first car was technically a Renault 4! (never road legal) then 1/2 an Alfasud, then 11 months in a Triumph Spitfire!

MGF'S are pretty good cars, fun and pretty good to control. they run well and engine is quick, i think you have a good car.

a few hints thou, make sure tyres match on rear and get the old head gasket etc upgraded.

i loved driving mine thru the winter last year, snow ice etc, i had to clench my buttocks but it was good fun..

My first car was a seven year old Vauxhall Chevette. The rear arches were a crusty mess and the front valance had more rust than paint. The equivalent today would be a 57 plate Astra, do they even rust?
