New c class sport issues
Discussion
Just purchased another C class sport auto primium and sad to say it's not good.
Doors out of alignment all the same check next time you look at a new C class.
Cabin noise way too high when on the motorway or dual carriage way too susceptible to UK roads . Smith road where you can find any it's good .
Sat nav audio directions cannot hear it , above the radio which must be on, to operate the sat nav on the tablet panel and the cabin road noise, plus wind noise is extra .
Anyone have similar views / problems .

Are we walking w204 or w205? I had a 2013 W204 as a loan car and whilst the steering feedback was better than the 2005 era cars - which I always thought ireelevant in a car of that type anyway - the rest of the build quality and ride especially was not. The seats were hard too.
There appears to be a focus on flashy trim rather than what used to, and should make a Mercedes great.
I don't have any experience of the new W205.

Hi it's a W205 model. I liked it on test drive on local roads some wind noise but thought I could live with it as liked the new design and layout. I have had two W204 sport models before this, so feel I can tell the difference.
This New model is on 17 inch wheels , the old model was 18inch, so would have expected a quieter ride, but it's all too suseptible to road surface when on the main roads driving at 40 to 70 miles per hour. Find a smooth road section and it's fine. So battle with Mercedes continues, oh another thing they could not supply to my order with with the air agility package as recommended in the launch reviews last year, no reason given other than withdrawn by factory great.

As said turn the satnav voice up (normal volume control) while its speaking relative to the stereo. Road noise and slightly worse ride is due to run flat tyres which effect a lot of new cars. I really like our new C class and part from satnav (which is less good than the optional extra comand system in the old model) i think its a good improvement over the out going model.
We have a new A Class and the wind noise it's terrible on that too. I'm pretty sure it's down to the seals, if you press them at the top of the door it quietens down. I think merc dropped a b
k with the seal spec and they arnt big enough, it sounds like this has carried over to the C Class too.

Hi m
The tyres are 17inch continental sportic standard, not run flat which are fitted to the AMG model.

Continental Sport Contact 5? Have a read of: http://www.vwaudiforum.co.uk/forum/showthread.php?...The tyres are 17inch continental sportic standard, not run flat which are fitted to the AMG model.

Noise aside they are a decent tyre for spirited driving.
