IMHO - JAG XKR X100 best value driving experience available.

I have always been attracted to "sexy", fast, and sporting cars, however on a budget. I have difficulty justifying spending huge sums of money for a 'car' when there are always higher priorities. This said, there are certain cars which make your pulse beat a little faster, which I love looking at, detailing - admiring the fit, finish and paint quality, and of course, driving. The Jaguar XKR X100 checks all the boxes I admire in a car. It is a beautiful shape, it is fast - deceivingly so, the build quality - when compared to most US brands is very good, and the Jag marques is universally respected - with a renowned history, and beautiful current models. All jags are good looking, but the XK X100 is a transitional car for Jaguar, bridging the years of questionable quality and reliability to regaining a reputation of building world class vehicles. The XK design is unique - unmistakable jag, and in the US, relatively rare.
The fact that I found my 2003 XKR for $12k USD to me reflects the best value on the road. For the 3 years I have owned this BRG beauty, the engine and drivetrain have been solid. I did have to address the faulty adaptive cruise control, but that has been all. I realize when parts do go bad, it will cost me more than the mainstream car repairs, but I use this car as a weekend cruiser, so I am not too concerned and look forward to many more years of enjoyable driving experiences.

I don't really see many of these on the roads anymore. I think they are and will continue to age well, which I couldn't say of many other cars!

Fire some pics of the interior up. I ran an S-Type V8 for a while - have always wanted to drive one of these though.

Here are a few more pics - SDZ trim. The driver seat bolsters show some wear, but I take care to treat the leather to prevent further wear.
My first jag was a 2004 XJR, which is also a great car, which I had used for a daily driver for my job. I was thinking of using this for a weekend cruiser, but decided the XKR looked more the part. I still miss the XJR and may look to buy another someday - perhaps a 2009 Portfolio!
