Better halfs DS3

Despite being very happy with her shed of a C2, she fell in love with the DS3 when given one as a courtesy whilst her C2 was in for a service
Decided she wanted one and was looking at Contract Hire on a 1.2 3 pot DS3 DStyle (mid spec) - I thought a decent little commuter car
After a test drive she came home and announced she had indeed bought a DS3 - but a just over over year old one as it was better value for money, the deal on HP just stacked up better - seeing the figures (and as a trained F&I Business Manager) I totally agreed with her - great p/x on her shed, very low rate and a chunk off the new car
So she is now the owner of a 1.6 DSport Plus cabrio and I have it say its very impressive. Engine is the 1.6 litre turbo petrol so pretty nippy - most impressive is the quality and attention to detail - I can see why the DS3 has sold so well and definitely see why they have now formally spun DS off from Citroen
May tweak it slightly over time as tuning / upgrades are pretty freely available but initial plan is to get paintwork machine polished, sealed and waxed

Used to really like DS3's when I was at Citroen-had several as company cars, usually the 1.6 HDI. Had one 1.6 turbo before I left-the economy when driven carefully was quite impressive-45mpg was possible!
I was less of a fan of the cabrio I have to admit, the sliding roof was nice on sunny days but the boot opening was pathetic and the scuttle shake pretty, um, shaky?
The gearknob and steering wheel leather have a habit of going shiny-wipe over with a damp microfibre cloth to restore them

Nice, especially like the full leathers. We have a few 1.6 HDIs' on the fleet that we've had for about a year now. Brilliant cars and I always enjoy driving them when ever I get the chance, could have got one myself for a year but not being able to tinker with it was a major downside for me
