So afew months ago i rescued this old girl. She had been sat in a garage for over 7 years. It didnt run smelled foul and was covered in dust.

It was a big gamble but its come out ok.

The chassis is in very good shape.

A new battery and some fresh fuel later and it still wouldnt start.

So a new electronic ignition coil and a carb clean and its running.

So i gave the brakes a quick going over and sent it for an mot. A few bulbs later and a tweek hear and there and its passed.

So now im using a car thats 10years older than me as my everyday ride.

So far its been compleatly reliable (touch wood)

Im going to keep cleaning up and improving bits whe i use it for the next few months then ill prob move on to the next project.

A tweak here and there? I had a ride in one these around 1977, 3000m turbo if memomory serves correct. Fastest bit of kit I travelled in for a long time, before and after, close to 150 mph on the Kendal bypass. Got to say, that looks so good, well done for saving it.
