CTCRC is the old Classic Saloon Car Club I believe. It is a real Lotus but has had its VIN plate "stolen". It could be GBP 3C but I am sure the current owner of that plate/car would think otherwise. Who is your dad because I am racing with his old mates this weekend at Donnington and I will see who knows him. Unfortunately it is a bit ropey but lets call it history!MrCippo said:
Awesome, what the spec of the engine ? I saw it being advertised as I was looking to buy a same period Alfa. Went for the 1965 Giulia Super in the end, so might see you on at a track at some point soon.

Come and join us at Classic Touring Cars. I currently run an Imp in the pre 66 and a droopsnoot Firenza in the pre 88 lot. Really friendly club that could do with some new boys on the grid. I see your car has CSCC stickers where I also race in the swinging sixties but I find CTCRC racers far more inclined to want to take an undamaged car home with them.My Cortina has the usual 1600cc twin cam built by John Smirthwaite so I am hoping it will be pretty good. Testing soon so we shall see!!!
Oh, very good, I didn't know about the CTCRC, I'll look into it as I do fancy a couple of weekends away from Knockhill, we are up in the North of Scotland. I'm out tomorrow with the Alfa for the first test and hope to race with the SMRC at the end of June. Yes, my Alfa was raced in the Classic K of the CSCC at Oulton Park last year, although it didn't get to actually race as it encountered some brakes problem. Anywho, sorry for distracting your topic. There's a few Cortinas up here too, none racing sadly but into hillclimb.

That Classic K grid of CSCC has some stunning cars in it. CSCC seems to be going from strength to strength and you certainly get value for money in terms of track time. We had a Scottish TR8 race with us at Mallory last week and he was threatening to bring down a few buddies to race with us. I didn't get his name but he was really quick and a nice guy.Good luck with testing the Alfa.
