Just thought i'd post a picture of my two cars up.

The first one being a 1997 rx7 RS, its hell of a lot of fun to drive. Imported in 2013, it has about 75kmiles on it. It had an engine rebuild about 5000miles ago, so fingers crossed, should see me good for a couple of years. I do want to do some reliability mods, keeping things cool and reducing the chance of tips flying out of the exhaust. Some of the paint needs tidying, front and rear bumpers need paint, and could do with a new wing mirror, but all in good time.

The second is my trusty £500 e36 328, i just can't bring myself to sell it, it's so reliable, practical and still has a bit of poke.

What do you think? smile

Helps if i post an image.

I'm loving the E36 but not sure on the RX7. Just doesn't look right in brown. Oh wait!

I'm not too sure about those wheels on the RX7... Just personal preference mind!

Stunning cars, and great write up

Guys, guys, guys, stop being so silly biggrin

These car's aren't an E36 and an RX-7, the OP is mistaken!

The blue one is a Morris Marina Coupe and the red one is a Lada Riva! Stunning cars!!

It's a bit photo heavy to be honest but a good read with some stunningly taken photos.

However, as already said not too sure on those wheels.

So this evening i began reliability modifcation No.1 - Fuel pump out, baffle tank in. Rx7's have well documented issues when running under 1/4 tank of petrol, when driving enthusiastically, they suffer from fuel surge...fuel surge on rotaries is bad, it can cause detonation, which kills the apex seals.

I also bought a parcel self, and another oe front splitter but not painted, so is black plastic, which should look wayyy better.

RX7 would look better with clear side indicators and possibly a retractable aerial.

You could get away with a smaller front number plate under the 2002 exemption and get as much air as possible in there. I've just gone with a cheap 5 figure plate to meet the requirements.

I agree about the side repeater, the orange one looks out of place really.

To be the devil's advocate, I disagree. The amber side repeater ties in with the red reflector on the rear bumper flank and the front indicators. I do agree with the black splitter though; painted splitters don't suit the RX-7 IMO.

If im honest the side repeaters are staying, mainly as they are original to the car and they are the last thing that needs changing.

Just finished fitting the baffle tank, not mega hard to do, just rather fiddly! If anyone wants an rx7 baffle tank, a mate makes them and sells them through the fd:uk forum.
