Picked this up at the weekend. Traded in my 06 SLK200k for the CLS320 CDi. First impressions are . . . . what a car ! 91k miles with full Merc service history. Its obviously been the pride and joy to the 3 prev owners. Excuse the poor pictures but it was starting to get dark.

That's very nice. I'm considering one as my every day car in the next few months. What's the interior colour combo? I've wondered if black leather seats makes them feel dark inside.

Tintopracer , Mine is black leather with a dark'ish wood. I like it , although maybe because out of the many cars Ive had with leather its the first that's been black. Its always been cream or grey to date. Personally I think it compliments the silver colour, the lighter leather interior compliments a darker coloured car - but that's just me.
I recommend the CLS , MPG seems good although cant put a figure on it yet , and I need to get a more up to date disk for the Comand unit - mine is the 07-08 disk and I got caught out trying to get to an address on Sunday.
Thankfully all 4 tyres are like brand new - I nearly choked when I saw the backs being 275x35x18 however online prices didn't confirm any fears.

Nice. I was looking at the MK1 (219) CLS, lovely styling. Especially with sensible wheels like the ones on yours. However I couldn't find a decent 350 petrol. So instead I bought a MK2 CLS 350 which is brilliant

Just before I pulled the trigger on this I was trawling Pistonheads and other forums and couldn't find much bad press about these at all which was quite comforting. Seems most owners buy them and keep them for years. In fact my next door neighbour was out for a nosey last night and commented he had a friend who bought one and hes had it 5 years - he struggles to find anything that will tick the same boxes and give the same bang for buck that his CLS did.

The only thing I miss is the 'driving experience' my old E39 gave when pressing on. The CLS isn't such a driving machine, but it still covers country quickly enough with 300hp at its disposal.
