L322 Range Rover 4.2 S/C
Discussion
Hi all,
I recently picked up my first Range Rover smile I originally meant to out to purchase the 3.6 V8 diesel, I then realised the milage I was doing, so decided to go for the 4.2 Supercharged..! Such a fantastic engine, very smooth, but really pulls when you want it to, this is my first Supercharged car, love the sound!
I wanted the 2007 facelift interior, I came across one with 40,000 miles on the clock, decided to go to see it, and went for it!

Love the spec and the amount of car you get for the money! The car seems to float along, even on the 20" wheels! (JLR Accessory apparently) as I didn't recognise them.
James.

Vogue SE?
Looks nice, drivers seat hasn't worn well must have belonged to a heffer!
Awesome car, I would change the wheels if it were mine but those wheels do look nice, it's common for the transfer box to whine on these Land Rover and most garages will tell you that you can only replace the transfer box.
Find a decent transmissions specialist and they'll change the bearing.
I've had 3 an 06 a 56 and an 07 2 have had new transfer boxes and one we had to do ourselves, the transfer box is a few grand to replace or a few hundred to repair.

The seat looks worn for 40k miles. Hope it's not as bad as the picture makes it look
It does seem to be quite a bad photo to be honest, in real life it doesn't look too bad, the rest of the interior looks great.
After the first test drive I did worry that it did look too worn for the milage, The MOTs and the service history all seem to back up the milage though. I rang the various garages in the Mot's to check also.

I think It must have been! The rest of the car and the passenger seat are fine, Ive given them a clean and condition with Gliptone, and its looking better now.
I'm still not sure about the wheels my self to be honest, I may get hold of a nice set of these - http://www.v8wizard.com/photo_gallery/Range_Rover_...
Many thanks for the heads up with the transfer whine as well

Those 20''s are nice, personally if it were mine I'd be tempted to put 22'' Overfinch wheels on.
No way man - don't do that. The best wheels for a FFRR are the ones fitted to this...

I do like the look of an unabused FFRR... and the wheels fitted to yours are a wee bit different to the norm, so I'd be inclined to keep them.
Out of interest, what sort of MPG does one of these manage in the real world?? I'd assumed that it'd be a <10-12mpg average, but it may not be quite so bad??
Cheers,
Grant

I can't get over how s
t the drivers seat looks though for so little miles!
Many thanks, it does seem to have been, very true about the seat though, I may see if there is anything I can have done to it to improve it, it may get bad again though, I find I can't get in and out very gracefully without side steps... I can't get over how s

Many thanks : ) I was thrilled when I came across it on the Range Rover forum, that's true about the wheels, they are starting to grow on me, the diamond cut part needs a bit of work as its corroded, Out of interest, what sort of MPG does one of these manage in the real world?? The MPG doesn't seem as bad as I thought it would be, I seem to be getting a hit 16/17mpg at the moment, that's a mix of cruising and hard acceleration as aswell.
