Took ownership of this little beauty on Sunday and am really pleased with myself and the car its a `96 Esprit V8 3.5, all original and in very nice condition. Full service history and a decent low mileage, lots of work been done and getting cam belts done next week.

I had some money that was earning nothing in the bank and had an empty garage so decided to bite the bullet and plunge into this, I can enjoy the car and hopefully I wont lose too much on it over the next few years, I know it will take a bit to maintain but that's what I pay for the enjoyment of driving it.

I think the Wheeler Dealer one was the older "Square/Sharper" shaped model, the old James Bond one I think.

Updates will probably come over the winter months as I intend to use it at every available weekend in the summer and take it off the road in the winter and look at doing suspension, brakes and generally tidying up and keeping on top of the usual problems with these cars.

Went over to Cheddar Gorge last night and took a few shots of the car, it drives really good and sounds amazing up in the gorge.

Awesome, how do you find the performance. What would you compare it to

This is the quickest car I have had so I cannot give you that comparison, however the guy I bought it off likened the performance of the Esprit to the Lotus Carlton performance. Completely different engines, dynamics and weights I know but still pretty quick.

They have one of these for sale at UK sports cars Wingham near Canterbury, 96 model same colour, I thought it looked fantastic. I was thinking of going back to an older car with zero depreciation. Hope you enjoy it.

Having just posted on the £100k car thread and had a few people point out that the Esprit i was commenting had been bought by a PHer, i'll say here what i said there. The Esprit in that blue is just stunning. I'm indescribably jealous cloud9
