95' Nissan Homy GT Cruise

I think it's pretty special, not only because it's rare but also because you just can't but anything like it nowadays, nothing is made (as far as I know) by any manufacturer that offers what this does. The same goes for the Hiaces's and Delica's of the period.
Anyway, it's in decent condition all things considered, the interior better than the exterior which I prefer, as it's usually easier and cheaper to repair dings and dents than it is upholstery and carpet.
Specification;
Nissan TD27ETi Engine.
4 Speed Auto with overdrive.
RWD with LSD and switchable 4WD.
Electric windows and mirrors.
Power Steering.
Privacy glass.
Pop-up sunroof in the cab.
Ice old aircon in the cab, operated from the dash.
Front fogs.
Central locking.
Tilting steering wheel, for easy access to the drivers seat.
Aftermarket headunit with bluetooth phone connectivity & handsfree capability.
4 Cup Holders in the front.
Armrest, with massive storage compartment underneath.
Cigarette lighter in the dash.
In the rear we have two rows of seats, the first row moves forwards and backwards aswell as tilting and they can turn to face the rear of the vehicle. The second row of seats is fixed in position, but they tilt backwards and can be folded up to the side of the vehicle to create a very impressive load area. With the removal of a few bolts, the 3rd row can be removed entirely allowing for even more room in the back.
More Specification;
Ice Cold air con for the rear of the vehicle, operated either from the dash, or by using the handy remote control. The remote also operates the heater for the rear. Both the rear cooler and heater operates entirely seperately from the cabin environment.
Electrically operated curtains for the sides and rear door, again these can be operated from the front cab or via individual buttons next to each window.
Next to the middle curtains buttons is another cigarette lighter, then at the back of the vehicle is yet another cigarette lighter. Handy for camping, roadside fettling and long journeys with phones, iPads etc.
The only change as far as I know is the 15x7 slotmags that the previous owner fitted to sell the vehicle, they'll be staying and i'll just be trying to bring the old bus back to full lustre again. That said, if anyone has any suggestions for me, i'm all ears for ideas to make this a better family/dog wagon than it already is.
Things like this are strangely popular up here in north wales, I see a few delicas, bongos etc. driving around, never one of these though. Looks interesting. I kind of like the idea of a big tall 4wd thing for lugging loads (bikes) about. Are these 4wd? I think the delica is at least, or some variants of them?

Bonus was that she has only travelled 52,000km from new.
Fitted a roof rack and a side awning, just need to find a nice set of wheels and have a tow bar fitted, it's going to be the race car tow vehicle.

Hiaces pre 1996 have same cab forward design as that Nissan - ie engine under front seats - and your sitting over the front axle.
Cool yoke if the ride comforts okay - Hiaces with that design are a bit horrible ride comfort wise ime

That V6 looks fantastic, i'd love to see how it compares to the diesel. Mind if I ask, where were the roof rack and awning from?
Yes, bouncy at the front, can be a while before the ship settles depending on how you've taken a bump. I am learning steadily how to drive it though, the bouncy can be managed I think.
To add, I drove this 140 miles home on the day of purchase, it'll do 85-90mph, but it's happiest between 60 & 70. I found the seats and driving position great on the long journey and the elevated seating position encourages a relaxing drive. The only gripe so far is that you have to stand on the pedals rather than push them away on a normal car. I'm sure with a little seat position tinkering I can improve this, but it's always going to be there.

The V6 goes pretty well for what it is, breaks traction reasonably easy off the line in the wet, and in the dry if I really commit That V6 looks fantastic, i'd love to see how it compares to the diesel. Mind if I ask, where were the roof rack and awning from?

The awning is just a universal awning (2.5m x 2m) purchased on TradeMe (Equivalent of Ebay in NZ).
Got a few quotes for a tow bar today, cheapest is $380 with a tow rating of 1,500kg which is plenty to tow our race cars around!
The V6 is a bit thirsty if you give it some stick though, but I we didn't buy it for it's fuel efficiency.
The Diesel unit isn't that powerful, certainly not enough to break traction easily, it is proving to be quite economical though, I calculate i'm getting mid to high 30's so far.
I'll have a look at the roof racks and see how they compare to what is available over here, thanks for the inspiration, I really lik the idea of a ladder on the back too now!
