Bought this a couple of months ago but have been busy sorting a few problems. Almost there now so time for a few photos.
This was bought while I was driving a Nissan Almera which in turn was bought because my Saab Aero 9 5 was parked up with piston no1 failure.
Didn't get off to a good start with the BMW as shortly after buying the airbag/seat belt light and warnings came on. Took a while to get sorted (seatbelt light still on ) then I was occasionally getting a rough tick over .
Two new injectors later it seems to be fine, just drove 800 miles in 4 days around Exmoor, New Forest and the South Coast and it never missed a beat and averaged around 45 mpg.
Day before setting off the front nearside tyre kept going down so had a replacement fitted. That night it was flat again! Replaced again the morning of the trip and all was finally well.

Two taken on Exmoor

very nice, I'm thinking about buying something similar myself. Either 525 or 530, diesel or petrol.

Thanks, I made the mistake of buying a 5 series without doing any homework. Aways best obviously to know what you should be looking for.
Just prior to get the BMW I took a Mercedes E270CDi for a test drive, nice car just not for me and realised I didn't want an auto either.

One thing Ive noticed is there are two different door card designs, its not as if one superseded the other as they can both come in different years?
Example-

Yes, there was a facelift done in April 2007, known as LCI (life cycle impulse).

Heres the full detail

Looking on Autotrader you can get both door cards before and after 2007, fella I work with has a 2008 530D M Sport which has same design as mine. Just seems strange, its not about differing trim levels but two different designs.
I was actually looking for an estate but somehow ended up with a saloon confused

That cant happen - unless the cars were built before March 2007 and late registered. There was no option for different designs of door cards.

Your mate in work might have a 2007 built car (or hes fibbing about the age of it)

I really wanted one of these - i'd a budget of around £3K for a car but "on the day" i couldnt get one that was "right".

Great cars - i've had two 535D M Sports, a 530D SE and a 530i SE so far in that shape.

An estate would work well for me too as we've two retrievers - maybe next time. smile

Someone has swapped the interior on it! If it was originally beige leather the carpets would be beige too. If you use one of the bmw vin decoders I'm guessing it will tell you it came with a black interior from the factory!
