The hockey season has started, and the team is playing in Bristol (I'm in Usk). So do I take the bus, and drink beer on the bus, or do I take the MR2 over the B4235 (Twisty, windy bugger of a road) to Bristol.
OK, the car won.
Top down, sunlight slanting through the trees, twisty road free of traffic. Superb views. And then over the old Severn Bridge, with its iconic catteneries, and mist rising off the river. Tops of the suspension towers not visible in the mist - and then into sunshine into Bristol.
Hard to tell if it was San Francisco or South Gwent.
Bliss - this has to be what it's all about. And I wouldnever have bought the MR2 if not for Pistonheads.

PH I salute you.

I'm on my 3rd MR2 Roadster now! Last two I had to part with grudgingly due to changes in circumstances so this time around I bought a dirt cheap facelift one as a third car. I'm keeping it until it stops or rusts to death! Either of which I hope to be a long time.

Yeah, only paid £600 for this one, though the engine was knackered.
I changed the engine, and undersealed it all to stop the rust.
Not long ago finished the job, and got it running well, so just really pleased with the car,and just the whole top down, pointy experience.

Hard work getting any kit in it though.
