Over the last 2 years I've been restoring this old Golf, 52k miles from new and very clean underside........zero rot!!!!!!
It was stripped back, most mechanical components were powder coated and the shell was painted.
A lot of time went into the engine bay as I wanted a clean painted finish deleting a few items!
The car has air suspension fitted that's hidden away in the boot space.
Interior was trimmed with Pride of Scotland tartan and leather bolsters.
And the finished car.........

Wheels don't half let that down, in the most constructive way possible; i'm by no means a VW fan, but with a set of BBS or other period wheels that would be outstanding on the basis of how cleanly everything else has been executed. Interior is lovely.
I hear ya, I'm just not a fan of BBS or polished split rims and these cleared the Brembo upgraded brakes! I'm not 100 % happy with them and will possibly change them next season! Thanks......
Sadly agree with the others - it's a stunning rebuild but the wheels are pants!
Also sorry to follow that up with more negativity, but I think the front badge would look better in chrome. I know it was a modification to have it painted in the same colour as the rest of the body work, but it kind of looks like whoever did the spray work just wasn't very good at masking. It would look great in contrasting chrome (and not chav-spec black either!)

Without trying to sound like most other posters..... Like it, bar the wheels.
Front end questions :
The before pic. There seems to be something not quite right. Were the headlights and bumpers standard or is it just that I've not seen a standard one in a while? haha
The after pic. As said already, I think the badge would look good in chrome and what's the scoop with the indicators at the side of the bumper? I assume that's because you've done away with the repeaters?
Love the retrim. The detail on the steering wheel and the booster seat are neat little touches.
