Audi S4 Revo Stage 1+
Discussion
Hi I have a 2009 S4 (3 Litre TFSI)I have had the Revo stage 1 remap done and I am now considering the Revo stage 1+ involving a new belt and sprocket, grateful for any feedback on anyone who has had done this on this engine either in the S4 or S5. I am happy with the current stage 1 except that there is a power lag mid range and snappy gear changes are needed to get the best out of it. Thanks, Nick.

Didn't Chris Harris run a s4 avant with revo and found the same problems with the gear box that where fixed with a software update?
He killed it mechanically I think and had to buy a new one. Not sure software can help with putting so much more torque through it but it must be good fun while it lasts.Out of interest how do these things sound as I had a MK5 R32 a couple of years ago which was glorious.
I think Harris reckoned his gearbox was on the way out before the remap and while it obviously shortened it's life, it wasn't actually the cause of the original fault.
I'm inclined to believe him, places like Revo and MRC have a pretty good reputation which I imagine would go out the window if they started selling maps that lunched gearboxes.
If you are free of the warranty and have an otherwise healthy car I don;t see why you wouldn't to be honest. Cars like this are crying out for some go-faster tinkering.
