VW Touran 1.4 TSI thingy
Discussion
Not content with 1 terrifying engine, I decided to buy the other half one of these, with a view to bunging a tow bar on it and towing the track saxo to track so I don't have to thaw myself out upon arrival.
I decided to get a petrol due to all of the short journeys we'd be doing, so the 1.4 TSI fitted the bill, supercharger and a turbo, what could possibly go wrong?
It's got the winter pack on it, and the optional cubby hole / tat storage pack.
I've been using it all week while the M5 is in for warranty work, I shouldn't like it, but I actually do :S
I've managed 31.5 MPG from the first tank, mainly round the doors, and got a steady 47.5 MPG on the journey home from picking it up.
Could this be the dullest thing in readers cars? possibly, but it's getting a BOV soon :S

Didn't realise they did the Touran with the twin charger engine? I thought it was just the turbo one!
That make it 170-180bhp?
Decent, practical motoring. And no need to worry about dpf or egr issues.
This one is 140bhp, they do a 170bhp which according to the VW PDF I snaffled is exactly the same other than the ECU map. That make it 170-180bhp?

No DPF or EGR, but the timing chains appear to be made of cheese, so it may implode at any given moment. It puts out peak torque from 1500 rpm though, it's ace
