Right now I can't say this is going to be an exciting read but I thought it was time that I put up some pics of our cars!

Started off about 3 years ago when I managed to do this to my MX5:

Turns out that hitting the back of a BMW at 30 mph isn't good for the car...who knew!

Anyways, against my better judgement (I'm very tall and MX5s aren't comfortable!) I wanted another MX5, specifically black with red seats because that's just the best combo, fact.
After a month of searching I eventually found one in reasonable nick - ie no rust but with a scrape on the passenger wing - and duly purchased it. It's a 1993 S-Ltd so 1 of 1000 made. It had gold BBS wheels that I took off as they're only 14" and impossible to get tyres for, and replaced with the 15" E30 BMW BBS wheels I had on my old car - annoyingly no pictures of it with the gold at the moment.

Here it is essentially as purchased but with the wheels swapped:

I kept it like this for a while before I purchased some Meister R coilovers, and MX5 parts exhaust and a front lip (cheesy Goodwood pic):

Fast forward a year or 2 and someone reversed into me in a petrol station - cracked a front sidelight and scraped the bumper. Thankfully this was on the passenger side where the scrape already was so I wasn't massively fussed! Decided to buy some new smoked sidelights but left the bumper...I'm lazy. The original vinyl roof was dying at this point so I swapped on my old tan roof from the first MX5 that had been in the garage for 2 years:

So this is essentially how it looks currently....well apart from this that happened a month or so ago:

I came back to it after leaving it at the station car park overnight...managed to beat it back into vague shape using a breaker bar in the car park before I could drive it home! Again, it was on the same wing that was bust anyway - I think it's cursed!

I have a supercharger sat at home ready to go on when I find the time and passion - that could be a while!

Right so that's the MX5, now onto the Golf.

My missus had a 1.3 auto Yaris that she's been driving (and loathing) for the last 4 years. She fancied a change and I fancied something faster. MK5 Golf GTIs seemed good value and so we picked this one up a few weeks back:

It's DSG with leather, nav and climate - no xenons or cruise but not a massive issue!

Will be remaining fairly standard bar a remap and getting the wheels redone - they have a bad case of white worm!

Anyways, like I said not the most exiting blog or indeed cars but they do us!

I had this combo until a year ago.

Good mix, MX5 has now been swapped for a 2000 Fiesta Zetec S. I really like it , but I miss my little 5.
