BMW 3 Series F30 2015
Discussion
We are lucky enough that Mrs Challo works for BMW and therefore we have the ability to lease new cars and change on a regular basis. We previously had a F21 1 Series which was very nice as it took her out of her old Ford KA which failed its MOT on rust.
The car is question is F30 318d MSport Plus which is a PH favorite and probably meets so many stereotypes
Although not the quickest car with 140bhp but perfectly acceptable around town, and cruises comfortable;y on the motorway still getting a decent MPG. It has the 8 speed auto gearbox which is fantastic and much preferred over the manual. The MSport Plus adds the larger wheels, and a few additional items on the spec as standard which i think improves the looks.
We have had the car since October and already covered 5300 miles, and the car needs to be returned between 8-10k so we have ordered a new X3 to be delivered in March which im looking forward too.

Apologies for the photos, i broke the lens on my phone so the pics are a bit blurry.

Standard BMW UK Employee spec (i used to work there):
White
Red Leather
Big Wheels
MSport
Small engine!
They are bloody smart looking though!
Talking to the other half she did say that the spec is always good, normally Sport, MSport or Luxary models. I suppose from BMW perspective its making sure they are able to onward sell via auction or through the dealer network. White
Red Leather
Big Wheels
MSport

Specs are always pretty good but the volume mix by model, engine, trim, spec etc are closely managed. Larger engines are available, just depends on the grade of your job.
Thats true. From her perspective she can only order anything in the Mini Range, or 1 - 5 Series, X1 or X3 which given the range of cars is pretty impressive. The only issue she has is deciding what to get. My boss had similar spec 320 petrol model in grey, had same wheels/interior etc. Also had the 8speed box which I thought was very good on the few occasions I drove it. The one thing that annoyed me was the sheer number of squeaks and rattles it had though. Very poor for a supposed premium brand.
He soon got fed up with it and now has a Cayman.
