Evening...

Was thinking about previous cars so thought I'd do a resume for posterity biggrin

Started off with a lovely Peugeot 205 GT, great handling little car, light, buzzy 1.4 engine that was a pocket rocket driving
No photo but was like this, except right hand drive

From there, had a string of rather boring company cars including:
Mark 2 Astra Estate - head on collision at 60mph put that one to sleep
Mark 2 Astra hatch
Ford Escort 1.6 LX
Ford Sierra 2.0i S
Form Orion 1.6i Ghia
Rover 420 GSI
Peugeot 405 1.9 SRi Estate
Volvo V40 2.0i Sport Estate

Also had at the same time:
Citroen Saxo VTR - go cart driving but made of cardboard
Honda CRX 2.0i

Then, bought:
Golf GTi Mark 4 - blacmange - stock image

Nissan 200SX - green, auto - not the best gearbox for this car but got me into my first real sporty coupe smile
Another stock image

Then...wanted a manual...but hadn't sold the auto so ended up with a blue manual and a green auto at the same time hehe

Then bought a lovely BMW 330 Ci in 2001, loved this car. Great engine, lovely noise, composed, rode really well whilst being precise in the corners

Then saw the new Lotus Elise 111S in Autocar in July 2002 and just had to have one.
So...went to St Albans the next day and bought this:

Had it three years, went to Le Mans each year and did a few track days. Still miss this car frown

In 2005 I bought a TVR T350C in Red Glow Pearl, great car, got attention wherever you went in it. Beautiful.

In a moment of madness I traded her in for a Porsche Boxster S, which was a lovely car, but just a bit too composed and normal for me by this stage. Great poise and balance, if you want a convertible Porsche, buy a Boxster.

I felt I needed a bit more power, so bought this:

450 bhp...450 lb ft torque biggrin

Progressed from that into a GT3..... Amazing piece of kit. Kept this one for three years, which is a long time for me with a car, so must have been good hehe

Meanwhile, daily drivers had been:
Audi TT 3.2 V6
Audi TT 2.0T Sport
BMW520d Sport
BMW 325d M Sport
BMW X5 3.0d M Sport
BMW 335d M Sport
BMW X5 Xdrive40
Vauxhall Astravan Sportive SE 180PS wobble
Mercedes SLK 250 AMG Sport

After the GT3, I fancied something with more character and lower power so I could enjoy things more on the road, more of the time....so bought 'Kermit' smile

Did track laps at Le Mans in 2014, one of the greatest motoring experiences of my life biggrin

Then, I decided lower bhp was a mistake so sold her for something a bit more powerful biggrin

Then......decided I couldn't live without a Porsche in my life so went mad (again) and managed to buy this:

3.6 litres of air cooled beauty smile which I still have.

Finally, got this last week

I think I'm done now

biggrin

That's mighty impressive.

The 458 will be such a hard car to top without spending 1/4 of a million plus....

Cheers....been very lucky to have had such a diverse bunch.

It's funny...looking back, when I saw the Elise 111s in Autocar in 2002..it triggered something in me....just had to have one.

Joined SELOC and PistonHeads shortly after and honestly it really has had an effect on my life biggrin

Went to Le Mans in 2003 and haven't looked back!

HFH is a great cause, have always supported them since their inception. thumbup

Oooops missed one....

2012 TTRS

Really, really quick car point to point. Tuneable to 500bhp plus but standard is just about perfect.

Great car biggrin

Think that's it hehe

Seriously though, still cannot believe you went from the TVR to a Boxster, A friend had one with a sports exhaust and it was mentalspin

I had the T350C over three years and by that time I think I just wanted something a bit better screwed together. After a while the rattles and creaks start to get a bit annoying so the Boxster suited my needs in that respect.

Shame what happened to TVR as the T350 will stand out as one of my favourite of any cars I've owned. It's great to see their return and I can't wait to see their new car..... wink

A few more pics to remember what a beautiful car they made smile
