I got them from these guys http://www.sjrgarageequipment.co.ukMy problem is I have space for 14 cars indoors. I keep the 2 Mercedes outside. I have 15 cars so I've technically space for 1 more inside but, thats on the 2 post lift so it can't be a big car.
So, I'm limited now unless I get rid of something and every time I think about getting rid of something I get upset and have to have a lie down.
The Model A is a bit of a nightmare to take out but, well, it's the first classic/vintage I bought and the kids gave it a name back then and, well, it feels like giving puppy away.
Then I don't use the Indy R much these days as it was my track car and now I race the Ginetta but we had some great times together at Oulton Park and Cadwell Park, some near scrapes, belting round Cadwell in the wet with semi slicks on because I simply couldn't be arsed to put the wets on. Good times. I can't betray it now and let it go.
Then there's the M3. I barely use it. But its the first car I bought when I started the (now sold) business before I got my first divvy. I had no idea if I would be able to pay for it. I did, just. It's 8 years old now, 50000 miles and bar a stone chip or two, like new, it's mine. My car. Cant sell it.
Don't even think about me selling the 458 Spider (14000 miles and off to Europe again on Friday so that'll be 17000+ soon and heading to 100,000 if I have my way), or the GT3RS 997.2 (that engine, 3 pedals, oh my), or the RS1600 BDA (perfection on 4 wheels), err, or, err, any of the others, oh crap. Sigh. Ive got a problem. I mean, look at the little Abarth, it's so cute, how can i trust someone else with it. And the Alfa is soooo pretty.
Be easier if the bloody Lotus would keep to it's reputation and break down all the time but ohhhh no, the damn thing just starts and goes every time so I don't even have an excuse to get rid of that. It has pop up headlamps too, I laugh every time they pop up. Haha!
Maybe the Boxster S? Hmm, but its a great car, 3 pedals, the roof goes up and down at 35mph and seen as I use it all year round that's handy. And you can park em anywhere and it's fine. And the exhaust does massive pork crackling on the over run and I'm essentially 6 years old. Nope, can't get rid of that either.
Jag? Nope, does 100mph without any problems and carries the family for pickernicks and days out.
Speciale? But, well, its a Speciale. The noise, the gear changes, the steering. Ill regret it, I know I will.
My eldest lad is off to Uni in September. But his bedroom is upstairs. I wonder if I can get a lift on the outside of the house and widen the bedroom window......
