Picked up the BlueGT recently. I was originally going for the GTI, but with my higher mileage and boot space requirement I went for the more sensible BGT. Lovely car. It's got a few extras, but the best bit (for me) is the DSG box, 7 gears and paddles, responsive and nippy. It's got some nice touches over the other Polos, like the blue/silver/black seats (goping online but nice in the flesh) and the black headlining. Surprisingly quiet when putting your foot down. Really refined little car, even compared to the Polo 6R.

This was my previous car, had a 13 plate one back when they were 140PS. Loved it. Found them to be a lot more pokey than you would expect from a 1.4 engine and the cylinder deactivation was marvellous, 40mpg in town driving and onwards of 65-70mpg on the momo. I went for the manual just because I heard rumours the torque figure was higher in the manual than it was the DSG, can you confirm that at all?

The ACT is flawless to be honest. I can be trundling along and then when the road opens the power change is instant. I can't tell when it kick in or off.
The DSG changes gear much quicker than I could in a manual. According to the VW forum- the DSG posts a quicker 0-62 time than the manual. Stock cars have reported 7.1 sec. for this, compared to the 7.8 sec. claimed by VW. Not that I care, as I doubt I'll be using it like that.
