Just picked this aubergine up the other day to replace my 120d manual coupe which I only bought in February!

Should never have gotten a manual for the crappy commute I have!

Lovely and smooth car as it goes, the auto is much better than I thought it would be.

Only thing which annoyed me was the wierd push/pull paddles which come on the older E90's. So I bought a pair of paddles from an M3 and swapped them out this afternoon. Much better and such a simple job - truly plug and play. Now I have the 'normal' right-up, left-down shifts biggrin

Ive also changed the trim from old-man walnut, to black. Cant believe how much of a difference it makes. I think it sat for a while on sale at BMW due to the unique colour combo but in the flesh I think the exterior colour really looks good.

That's an unusual colour combo, it's very nice. I won't be the first to cue the Australia joke.

Not a 3 series fan but thats a really nice colour combo, much better than silver and black. Bet that Aubergine would look ace when machine polished.

I think it looks lovely in that colour, and certainly makes a change from the black and silver, both of which I've owned, and the blue, grey, a gain, I've owned one, and white that most 3 series seem to be in

Thanks. It's called Barbera Red and is apparently quite rare.

Wish mine was an M3!
