1999 Twin Turbo 6 Speed Manual Supra RZ
Discussion
Hi all,
New here so thought i'd start of by putting a few photos up
I've had it for 4 years from fresh import, until me it had 1 Japanese owner from new and i imported it on 44,000miles. Its on a little over 60k now (mostly due to the first year), but the last few years has done around 5-600 miles a year.
Being a 1999 RZ, its a facelift and benefits from a few nice additions over the usual spec (recurs, leather rears, carbon steering wheel, better brakes etc. etc.) so was the one to have when importing, especially being the 6 speed manual.
Either way, i hope you like:

Cheers
Jack

thanks, the wheels came on it when importing, they fit well, right offset/width and look well so kept them, they're Work also, so decent quality
Its on HSD Mono-pro coil overs, pillow ball mounts and a "lance" fast road set up. It handles well (past my capabilities anyway) on road, and you can notice the stiffness on some of the less well maintained B roads, but seems to have a lot of mechanical grip. For sure best suited to smoother tarmac
A few memorable road moments nothing too outrageous mind and sadly i've never had it on a track... yet!

i'll dig some more pictures out shortly
noting outrageous brief spec:
Greedy profecB spec 2 electronic boost controller
Greedy fuel cut defender
Sard boost gauge
HKS induction
Chris wilson primary and secondary decat
RSR magic exhaust
SRD Front mount Intercooler kit
Walbro fuel pump
colder grade plugs
Cusco brake master cylinder stopper
TRD front strut brace
TRD rad cap
Chris wilson fast road brake pads all round
DoLuck braided brake lines all round
Motul dot 5.1 fluid
HSD monopro coilers with pillow ball top mounts
Work Emotion CAI wheels
RMM urethane front lip
HID's
Stock nice bits
4 pot front 2 pot rear big brakes
carbon fibre steering wheel
Recaro seats
Active yaw braking system
REAR suspension (now removed)
Optional skirts/spats
Haven't had it on a rolling road since the intercooler went on but prior to that was 409.something bhp and around the same tq so quick enough to put a smile on my face
I had another supra prior to this (1998 same spec in grey) that sadly got written off by a young driver racing and cutting a corner straight into my path (head on) whilst i was stationary. this was its replacement
I'm quite aware of the potential of these, and if it wasn't for grown up stuff like buying a house and renovating over the last 2 years and a wedding to pay for, i would have done something daft with it already :P

That looks terrific. Any mechanical issues to deal with or are these as over engineered as they appear?
I've done about 18k in this over 4 years and only issues i've ever had are trivial (blown bulbs, out of balance wheels, blown fuse etc.). Wouldn't like to speak too soon, but they are pretty bullet proof. They do suffer with age mind (earliest models are now 23 years old, this being nearly 17), upper/lower arms are in the region of £4-500 each as and when they go wrong and sadly you can't replace ball joints in them, so unfortunately people do buy cheaper examples and forget they come with 90's supercar running costs
