HKS Supercharged Honda S2000 - Stealth Mode

After owning a couple of high powered turbo RX7's over the last few years, I wanted to find a car that fell into roughly the same budget, two seater, with similar performance. The reason for the move from RX7s was that I wanted something newer and offered improved reliability.
So after lots of research I decided to opt for a supercharged S2000. Originally, I had planned to get the work done myself and started looking for standard cars to make the conversion. The engines are forged already so more than capable of 300-400bhp safely.
Whilst joining up a couple of S2000 forums I came across an example that was the completed project already. The price made sense and the chap I bought the car owned the car for several years and was a true jap car enthusiast. So we did the deal and I have enjoyed ownership for the last 4 months.
The spec shows the quality of parts and attention to detail that have gone into it:
Polybushes all round with the exception of the front compliance bush where the better power flex compliance bush was used.
Buddy club n+ Coilovers
T1R steering rack spacers
Teigwa driveshaft spacers
Wicked tuning rear control arms
Solid alloy rear lower brace.
Staggered Enkei RPF1 in Matt black, wrapped in Bridgestone Potenza.
Dixel rear discs and nitrac front discs with CL rc6 pads all round.
Clutch is a standard oem Honda friction plate with the act uprated pressure plate and oem release bearing. Drives like standard but has the extra clamping load for the supercharger.
Custom oil catch can.
Teigwa up rated alloy radiator.
Mocal oil cooler mounted behind drivers side faux vent which is cut out and meshed.
HKS supercharger matched with an aeromotive 340lph fuel pump, DW800 injectors, PLX wideband, aem ecu mapped by efi parts in Runcorn.
The car makes 381bhp and drives extremely well, very smooth, idles perfectly, basically like a stock car but with the power to make it genuinely quick. Keeps all the characteristics of the standard high revving f20.
Resonated decat, U.K. Exhaust mod which sounds tremendous but still keeps noise to a reasonable level when cruising or driving through town.
Inside drivers seat replaced with corbeau club sport on teigwa lower rail. Full height wind deflector. PLX wideband gauge mounted where standard audio controls were. Aem multifunctional guage.
Alpine speakers and Sony Bluetooth HU.
So plans going forward, well I have already replaced the wheels from stock which wasn't cheap! So for now I plan to do a couple of track days to really make the most of the performance. In time I will look to improve cooling and some minor aesthetic changes to bring the car even more up to date. As it stands the performance and handling is staggering and always puts a smile on my face.

You mentioned bringing it up to date but, if anything, the black wheels / tyres / car combination dates it a bit for me.
Personally I'd have gone for a different colour wheel. Has the car been painted at some point? I don't recall black being a standard colour but I could be wrong.
I had a Silverstone which - as anyone will tell you - is the fastest colour.

The wheels and tyre setup decision was for function too as they are super light wheels and the tyres offer decent grip in most conditions. Berlina black was indeed a factory colour for the S2000 so not a re spray. You hear of so many owners coming back to them which I guess speaks volumes.

My S2K is the only one of my past cars that I actually miss.
Reasons for not going back:
1) I don't trust the engines as they approach 120k (mine went bang at 70mph on the A1) and the cost for a low miler now is madness.
2) Never go back! Too many other great cars to try out there.
Would a blown / V8 converted one count as going back...?

Love my S2k, it's killing me having it sat SORN at the moment but financial decisions were made for this summer. 
The ultimate aim is to S/C mine but leaving it looking as cosmetically stock as possible.
And 134k miles and no issues. Engine has been looked after, it did 70k in the first 2 years and then the rest in the next 11 so i don't worry to much about the mileage.

Sounds like a laugh, looks good too. Personally I detest black wheels - very lost in the arches, especially bad when the wheels are as awesome as RPF1s! If you hadn't have listed them I wouldn't be able to tell what they are.
Now get them finished in silver and enjoy an even better looking motor!

I prefer the handling of the s2000 over the rx7, but that maybe a lot to do with the setup I have on this as opposed to previous. My RX7s always felt a little light on turning, where as the s2000 feels more planted. They are heavier cars, but just feels more assuring. That said I haven't driven it in the wet yet.
The s/c 350z was a consideration for me too, but it just came down to looks. I feel the s2000 is more subtle and perhaps more grown up. The MPG is surprisingly good too if you aren't booting it everywhere.

I have a supercharged EP3 (mines not as powerful as yours though) and a Supercharger is the ideal compliment to the Honda engine IMO, it retains the nice free revving nature but gives a nice wallop of torque which is slightly lacking.

Cheers! Yeah its in really good condition inside and out which is a testament to the previous owners really. Its not been used as a daily ever either. I intend to refresh the headlights just with some treatment of the plastic and touch up the bumper too. That's all it needs. The hood is brand new as well and repels water beautifully.
