Life with an XJ220

After a bit of a nudge from a couple of friends around the world, I thought I'd kick start a thread regarding my experiences with an XJ220. Three years in and counting and still an event every time I drive it.

That picture is just perfect. Muted colours, an everyday junction on a slightly grotty looking road, understated. With what looks like an alien spacecraft in it. Really looking forward to reading more. No detail too detailed or too obscure in my opinion, please share!

I left faceprints on Brentwood Jaguars window many times when they had a pair in there for s few years, must've stopped to look at them a hundred times when passing during the night. Stop, sit on cars bonnet, smoke fag and dream for 5 minutes

Look forward to hearing more about it, definitely a dream car from my childhood. It seems strange to me how Jaguar managed to express the spirit of its heritage so perfectly in modern form with the XJ220, at a time when its volume models were straight-edged and fairly uninspired.

Interesting picture. It looks like it was taken near Llyn Brenig (EVO Triangle area). I used to go windsurfing there back in the day and remember seeing (and hearing) a Jaguar XJ220 being tested by Top Gear. Brings back memories. Some great driving roads around there
