2016 Abarth 595 Competizione

Hi folks, thought for my new car I'd do a reader's cars thread, not only as its a bit of fun and a diary, but also because there's not that much info out there about these fun little things. I've tried reading up on them but the reviews are a bit broad and sketchy I think.

So, here it is. In Abarth Red with performance pack and a Beats by Dre stereo upgrade. Performance pack bring with is a Mechanical LSD, lightweight supersport wheels with better Michelin tyres, and carbon fibre backed leather and alcantara Sabelt seats.

I have taken a few photos, but rather than just post them thought I'd show a video I made for a couple of friends, one who is interested in getting one after seeing some photos of posted. Don't expect and Chris Harris amazing effort, and I don't even do much detail, but for a quick walk around...

Another thing (which I alluded to in a GG thread) is how much attention it gets, loads of stares driving home on the M1, and so many 'non-car people' asking about it at school pick up, petrol station and supermarket already.

It's a great looking car however the 4 small exhaust tips look out of place. They should have 2 larger exits to fill the diffuser gaps better.

I kind of agree, but I wonder if they're needed to make the distinctive noise(?), I'm no exhaust specialist...

I've managed to take the time to watch your video, really good to watch it whilst I wait to pick mine up. I'm also interested to know how you compare it to the renaultsports that you've had.

Hopefully we can catch up one day at a Sunday service having matching cars.

I'll try do some proper videos with a bit more thought, it was literally for a couple of mates asking about it I just chopped together.

Sunday service sounds good, but in reality I can never make them. Far too busy on weekends and they're all down south...
