Well October 2015 I placed and order and deposit on a car I didn't really know a lot about other than some press shots and spec sheet. Having been delayed over and over I had nearly given up on the idea...
Until last Friday when I finally took delivery of the beast.

I have only done a couple of hundred miles so far so cant say too much other than Christ. Im limited to about 4000rpm but even at that this thing is a machine..

The handling is amazing, engine on another level....then I decided to have a play in Sport + in manual. Awesome fun and then I slipped on the paddle and downshifted firing the revs to 4000 from 2500 and BANG, CRACK, BANG,BANG POP....where the hell did that come from.

By no means have I had enough time in it to do a decent review and im no good at writing one but as soon as I can ill try to get something in writing on here to give you an idea what its like properly.

I meant to clean, detail and ceramic coat it today having spent a small fortune on kit....well that failed as I was too busy driving aimlessly and constantly searching for an excuse just to pop out for some 'milk.'

Ill leave it there at a couple of photos if I can attach them and ill come back to this thread just as soon as I stop wasting super unleaded...

And I had to take it into afar park today....and park as far from civilisation as I could.

Very nice cars. look much better than the previous model in a more modern way, if that makes sense?

Is performance the same as the previous generation once run in?

I had one of these (14 plate) for a year - absolutely bonkers - wait 'til it's run in, the crescendo at it approaches 7k RPM in Sport+ is out of this world. Being a new model I presume its the 5.5 bi-turbo with the 9speed box?

Anyhow enjoy!

Very nice. Do these sound anything like the old 63s? They had a noise like no other.

FYI: I can read every letter of your number plate in that last shot - I think you need a better blurrifier! laugh

Stunning car ! Enjoy it, my business partner has a GLE 63s which sounds incredible and is terrifyingly quick for something so 'tall' smile

Afar-park: The bit of car-park car owners who like their doors un-smashed by morons with no spatial awareness use.

"I parked in the afar-park at Sainsburys today. It took me ten minutes to get the trolley back up there, but my car's the same shape as when I left it. Result!"

Also, what a lovely car. I felt the C-class had lost its way a bit in recent years, but that really is a pretty thing in my eyes. Less DTM wannabe and more damn good looking roadcar. Enjoy.

4.0 wet sump biturbo I believe, not the dry sump used in the GT/GTS

I love this model. Want (but probably not in white, even though my current car is white!).

have to say the new C63s in saloon guise does nothing for me, but in the coupe it is absolutely perfect - it looks like a baby S Class coupe.

Just out of curiosity, what did you have before this? I have the 6.2 C63 and have often wondered how the performance compares to the new TT 4.0 as ive read so many conflicting views online.

They do sound epic, especially on a cold start.. and if you ever get bored the tuning potential could be epic.

enjoy!

My team filmed a drag race with one last month – from memory the GLE63 (5.5) beat the C63 4.0 (think it was over a half mile). The A45 AMG was ahead of the C63 for quite a while too. AMG GT won. Video should be on Youtube a week Saturday…

Great car and it looks fantastic.

I think the saloon and estate are such let downs and struggle to see the difference between an AMG'd C200d and a C63 these days, however in estate form it really looks good.

I had the previous model C63 Coupe (62 plate) and loved it, but the C63S is in my opinion much quicker. The only negative for me was the slightly slower throttle response (instant with the M156) and the engine not sound as good as the 6.2, but consider it's dropped 2.2l it still sounds mega.

My problem is that I now need 4 doors (soon to be 5 year old) and I can't imagine buying the saloon no matter how good the engine is which is leading me to the M3 Competition Pack. Whats the C63S Coupe like for rear space??

What a machine, stunning. I saw one just like it a couple of weeks ago parked up and it certainly grabbed my attention with the white with black/carbon touches.

Im sure a few have been mapped now too in case you want another 100 bhp smokin
