Good evening,

With all the talk of sheds and bangernomics on this forum I thought everyone on here might want to hear about ny Rover 25 that I got 2 days ago for free.

But first a brief motoring history. From November 2008 until June this year I had a Rover 200 1.4, the 100 horsepower version. I loved this car. It was my first car and it did me very well indeed. This car made me fall in love with the k series engine. Light, powerful and bags of character for a small four pot.
During this ownership came an Austin Allegro Vanden Plas, TVR Tuscan Red Rose and an E30 BMW 318 convertible. An unusual list of cars I will admit.

Sadly the e30 drinks fuel and wants to be off the road during winer so I needed another car. My sister had this Rover sat on her drive and it had been there, unmoved, for 6 months.
On Monday a new battery was bought and £110 later including mot test and new tyre shes back in the road!
A touch uner 100k miles and it feels tight as a drum. Very impressed.
Driving up to Liverpool from South Devon tomorrow will be the test but it seems great so far.
Now for some pictures including of the few small rust patches.

A free car is never a bad thing Bob.I still see a fair few of these out and about, before car design became all aggressive and vulgar, enjoy.

Yes they are! I love it but then I am a fanboy.

The aircon doesn't work and neither does the clock. Starts on the button, goes well and even the parking sensors work!
All for free!

Well it made it up to Liverpool from Devon. 280 miles and 4.5 hours including a stop at Gloucester services (highly recommended btw!).
Chuffed.

I did attach loads of pics to the first post but obviously my phone doesn't want to upload them!
