Perfectly legal for it to be stripped out - with my boring hat on I'd say it would need a friendly MOT tester with the removal of the 3 point belts and airbag steering wheel (I say this because I had the same situation with a civic, not because I'm a bore..!)TX.

Nuts in a FWD, looks a top build though. Those old VAG 1.8 units were great engines to start with.
One thing jumped out though, you say TSR charged you several thousands of pounds just for mapping. Any reason why you just didn't go full standalone and opt for say a Motec when talking that kind of money?

He said TSR mapped it not Revo, I imagine because of the skill and expertise of mapping a car like this, would be better than opting for a motec? Never had an issue with harnesses and no airbag in my Elise...Looks mental OP - +1 on the video request though

Ahh got the names wrong 
I'm asking as I'm curious myself. Mapping any car requires skill and expertise and in some ways, a full standalone requires even more as you've got to set up cold start maps etc from the ground up.
With high HP builds, when I was into it, a standalone was seen as the cherry on top! I know standard ECU's are massively capable nowadays so trying to understand the logic.
That's a cracking bit of kit, undoubtedly very very fast & extremely capable, the spec list is a wish list for most!!!
TSR seem to have done a good job of restoring their reputation in the VAG tuning scene. I remember back in the late 90s/early 00s when they were they go to people if you wanted a 8 or 16v Golf played with.
