1989 Mk1 MR2 T-Bar
Discussion
Bought this Mk1 MR2 in the hopes of turning it into a show car. The previous owner had kept it garaged ... but he hardly used it and needed the space back! It has done 125k miles but has had the timing belt replaced, new water pump and HT leads. Engine runs really well with no smoke coming from the exhaust.

The only problem I've had with it so far is that the tyres were all low on tread (been replaced with Toyo Proxes) and some rust patches I have found along the drivers side and rear jack point. But as far as I can tell all the wheel arches have been treated and the rest of the running gear looks good.

I am getting it looked at by my friend who's a mechanic ... hopefully these rust spots will be an easy fix!

I really like these, would like to have a go at one at some point. That rust looks fairly benign considering how old it is and how well they can rot when left to the elements, Should be relatively straight forward to fab some patches and weld them in. I guess you have to hope that bodykit isn't hiding any horrors, looks good on the outside though...
