Very happily achieved my dream car this year, a 911! It took a while to find one in the spec I wanted. I had actually raised the budget to include gen 2 cars in the end, and was becoming disheartened and close to shelving the idea for a while. This car had been on my radar for a couple weeks but I hadn't made time to view, and was a bit wary of the asking price as it was above my gen 1 budget really.

In the end I decided the spec was too good to ignore and went to view the car. Love at first sight, and a very loving owner put my slight fear of a private sale on a 997 at ease.

Its a Carrera S with a few great options, Sports chassis pack, Alcantara pack, Aero Kit and Chrono pack being the main attractions.

I am still utterly in love, every drive is still an event.

Heres a few not great pics, will have to get some better ones!

From sunday service a week or so after picking it up, still wth previous owners plate.

With my M3 thats been getting all the attention lately, and my frst lurking!

Rare both out of garage distracting upstairs window view!

What an excellent pair. I've been seeing a fair few M3's on this site lately but not seen a 911 like that at all.

Thanks, they are an awesome pairing. The M3 is becoming more track focused, with the 911 very much a road toy, I dare not risk tracking it! I felt blessed looking out the window and had to take that crappy pic!

Congratulations. Lovely.

However it is a crime to fear taking such a capable machine on track. I've tracked all the 911 in my profile and learned much from this. With even a litle tuition they are so much more rewarding than any other car I have experienced.

Learning about balance and getting the power on early in the corner because of where the engine sits is a true joy.

When you get it right and you can pin up your shoulders back through the corner everything about what makes a 911 a 911 just clicks.

Best of luck with it.

Having not driven for over 5 weeks with a broken collerbone, I finally managed to get out today. Been feeling up to it for a week but wanted to be really sure!

Stopped for a couple pics. Its far from clean!

Went for a little run about today, went a bit wrong and had to turn round as a lane turned into a field!

Lovely looking 911 you've got there.

You'll need to raise the front a tad if you plan on doing any more off roading biggrin

Too long! I'll try to get to a Sunday Service this year - I'd love to see the 997.
