BMW E34 525i - Winter Project
Discussion
Hey!
It's the time of year again that the little Eunos goes into hibernation for the spring, so it was time to buy a winter runaroud. I did intend on buying a cheap small car but this magnificent barge appeared for sale around the corner - it was fate! So it's a 1995 e34 525i SE manual in orient blue. We bought it without an MOT but was confident it would get through without too much bother. It was tested yesterday and failed on a tyre & windscreen wiper with a few advisories, thought it would need a bit of welding but it got there. Retest sometime this week and it'll be out and about!
Seems like it's a lot of car for the money - it's been well looked after and has a few M bits on it too as well as m-parallels.
The plan right now is to use it through the winter, get it welded then think about a respray in the spring as there's some lacquer peel and the paint is just generally dull - thinking Mora Purple? Already purchased a full M5 half leather interior. Don't want it to look like an M5 rep but the 'comfort' velour-y interior is just not my thing.
I will keep this thread updated!

You have me very interested. If you're thinking about a different colour I would be looking at Techno violet. It's period correct and I think it's the best colour BMW did. HussleRussle (If that's how you spell it) has a Techno violet 525i touring and has just recommissioned it. Looks excellent.

Yes! Techno violet is excellent too, actually leaning more towards it again after looking online again today. Never seen one in the flesh though. Gassing Station | Readers' Cars | Top of Page | What's New | My Stuff
