NA 1993 MX5 Roadster

Just starting a thread to chronicle the upcoming work on my NA 1.8 MX5. Had it about 4 years now and it's needing some proper attention paid to it. I've been around France in it, and it was my wedding car so I owe it some time and money in return. The only thing it's ever broken is the alternator belt, as on my previous MX5's which is probably more to lazy maintenance by me more than anything else!
She failed her last MOT on a tyre, and a fair few bits of welding so that's where the work will be starting. A new hood is also in the pipeline along with a brake upgrade and maybe some power stuff. I really should sort the wing as well which is damaged from me somehow reversing it into my house, I don't think I'd be able to repeat such a daft feat again if I tried!
There don't seem to be as many MK1's in the Reader's cars at the moment for some reason and there's far less cheapie ones on Ebay so I don't know if they're going the way of the 944. I'm not planning on getting rid of this one any time soon though, and will update the thread as and when work's done, which may be slowly.
