Honda Civic Type R (FN2) 2007
Discussion
Hi all, I'm new to this forum. I recently bought a 2007 plate Honda civic type r from a independent dealership and absolutely love this car! Managed to get a very low mileague car (24k) in bronze pearl paint and completely standard.
Manged to get it at a fairly secent price of £7.4k which included a 12 month warranty, new tyres, service, mot and a valet plus tank of fuel. Will get some pics up.
Only mod I've done so far is having changed the stock exhaust for a non resonated milltek. Love the sound!
Little update struggling to get pics up as the file size is too big?)
Despite using the 2bm and polishing and waxing on a regular basis, the car is marred with swirls and slight scratches on the bonnet.
So I'm looking at getting it detailed which consists of a 2 stage machine polish, full claybar treatment and then ceramically coated.

You got any pictures yet? Been looking at replacing my current car with an FN2 for a couple weeks now and would love some inspiration. Had three EP3 CTR's previously and really wanted to try the FN2 to compare against the EP3 after all the bad press. I think they're a great looking car and looking forward to a purchase, hopefully sooner rather than later!

Hi mate, Will get them up but in the meantime here is a link from type r forum with plenty of pics! https://r.tapatalk.com/shareLink?url=http%3A%2F%2F...
New FN2 owner from Reading!
I absolutely love the fn2 and say go for it! It looks awesome and handles like a go kart! And you can get a decent one pretty cheap too (6-7k) with low mileage
I'll be honest, the whole thread I was thinking that it just looked a bit "off" black but the last picture on there really shows the colour off nicely. Looks great actually. Didn't realise they done the FN2 in that colour. A shot from one of the front corners with the colour looking like that would be good if you've got one to post!
I had a 57 plate Milano Red FN2 Type R about 5 years ago. I bought it private in 2012 for £6.5k with FSH and 49k miles. Bit of a steal back then I think. Part Exchanged it against an A3 S line a year later and they gave me £5.5k. A week later it was on their forecourt for £7.5k. The FN2 gets a bit of stick from some people for not being as good as the EP3. I put around 15k miles on mine in the year I had it and loved it. Fair enough it is not the most refined car but to date is probably the car I most enjoyed owning.

Hi, thanks for sharing that, yes they are great cars and I'll easily keep mine for a good few years as i have a family car too for the longer (more comfy) journeys! Well had the car for nearly 2 years now and have spent a few £ making it my own!
I've since had a Brembo big brake kit fitted (DC5 callipers, s2000 discs and pads) and bought a mugen spoiler with a carbon blade which arrives next month. Will have it painted and fitted by September.
The headlights have been upgraded to led (philips lumileds) which are fantastic and easily 5 times brighter than the normal halogen bulbs.
Overall I'm still absolutely loving the car and it still turns heads too. B road blasts in vtec and hitting those bends never fails to put a smile on your face!
