picked up my new car and my first ford from Horsham Ford .
Its a Ford Fiesta ST-3 with a few options of rear parking sensors and style pack all in the colour Blue that I have had for just over 12 months .

After running it in I could really enjoy it and the car can still get very good MPG if you want it to

I had the car standard for just over 5 months and did a trip to Germany in it

Then i thought I would installed a Mountune intercooler and Charge pipes and hard pipe
Old intercooler

Old vs new

Installed

New charge pipe and hard pipe

This was how I was going to keep the car and finish off with the Mountune MP-215 to tie everything up and this would give the car 215 BHP and 235 LB/FT .
After reading through a few things and looking in to other option I went for the Collins performance CP2 I flash remap .
To get the best from this map the car needs a stage two intercooler and for best gains the ITG induction system

All installed

This set up gives the car around 230 BHP and 250 LB/FT and removes the torque limiter in first and second gear and a 0-60 time of 5.9 seconds and is a bit more powerful than the Mountune MR-230

With this set up the car drives amazing and there is so much power and torque across the whole rev band to go with the great handling of the car and is a great set up and makes the car really come alive .

Then on to this year and in April I went to see Collins performance to have there CP4X stage 4 upgrade done .
This package set up is the X47 Hybrid turbo , Airtec stage 4 intercooler and CP4 software .
Below is the information on the new turbo
•X-47 Fiesta ST Hybrid Turbo
•Inlet Elbow
•CP progressive Actuator
•New 45mm Large Bore Turbine shaft with Clipped back blades
•New 56.5mm Extended Tip 7 Blade Billet compressor wheel
•CNC re-profiled compressor cover to match new X-47 billet alloy wheel
•Motorsport Heavy Duty thrust bearing assembly
•Modified Seal Plate to match hi-flow compressor wheel
•Motorsport Specification Cut back turbine blades for high flow at high RPM
•330bhp (300 whp) capable

I did not get the exhaust done as I was going to do this later and the car will run ok on the stock cat and exhaust but will just be down on power .
The car now is very quick and with only 1060 KG to hall along goes very well indeed and I have been told this setup is in the same league as a BMW M4 / RS3 .

Well that escalated quickly! Can only imagine this is absolutely mental with nearly 300hp.
8000 miles and I have had the car just over a year from new and when I picked it up from the dealer the words ( I will not be touching this ) came out but as ever this turned out to be lies
Amazingly tunable these cars. The MK7 Fiesta ST is one of the best cars i've ever driven. It just felt right, both when pootling along at slow speeds and even better when stretching it's legs right out. I had to restrain myself from ordering one there and then when i got back!
For me though, i wouldn't personally go all-out on one. I've not got a problem with others that do, it just shows that these can become proper giant-slayers with the right mods. When i drove one, i didn't feel that it needed any more power. It would be the MP215 kit for me and that's it.
Car looks great, regardless. You'll really shock some much faster metal no doubt with that kit!

So to bring this topic up to date at the weekend I got round to installing my Milltek 200 cell sports cat and milltek 2.75 inch exhaust system along with the GFB diverter valve and Mountune exhaust hangers
I went for the Milltek non race res system the quietest aftermarket system you can get for the Fiesta ST to keep this as stock as possible

Milltek 200 cell sports cat

Mountune uprated exhaust hangers

GFB diverter valve

Old stock divert valve

New GFB divert valve

Old stock 2.14 inch system

Old 2.14 inch system and new 2.75 inch system

Stock cat removed

Old stock cat

New Milltek 200 cell sports cat

The car now goes very very well and is great fun to drive and with it looking / sounding stock it is a bit of a little sleeper too as people don't expect a little fiesta to have 310 + BHP
